Please join us in calling for a minimum wage that meets families’ basic needs. As the state legislature holds a hearing on “Workforce Development,” we’re filling their hearing room with worker power!
The Legislative Office Building is located at 198 State St. in Albany. According to the Department of Labor, the cost of living in New York State requires a single adult working full-time to make at least $15.91/hour. Yet about 3 million New Yorkers make less than $15. No matter the kind of work, no job should keep people in poverty or struggling to make ends meet. We hope you’ll join us in taking a stand against poverty wages in New York!
We will depart from 2421 Main St. 1199 SEIU offices on February 3rd at 6:30am. If you’d like to join us in Albany, contact CEJ Buffalo at (716) 892-5877 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
