Collectively these stories help move us forward. They help us see ourselves in others, they reflect back our place within systems, they strip away shame as we realize we weren’t alone, they make us laugh or cry or feel inspired or find connection.

Much of our work throughout the 90s was focused on enhancing fair trade practice, solidarity work with local unions, and advocating for a living wage.

2000S

Our work in the 2000s centered around advocacy for fair trade, health care reform, racial equity, wage reform, and labor solidarity.

In the 2010s, we joined the Fight for 15, created our Buffalo Transit Riders United campaign, and linked with the Poor People's Campaign. Our work remained focused on wage equity while we expanded into the fight for transit equity.

Our work so far in the 20's has included the expansion of BTRU, workforce development, involvement in campaigns to address greener mobility, and advocacy for the continued solidarity between community and the labor movement.
